What you receive.

A clearer fact record

Photos, timelines, messages, bids, change orders, permit records, payment requests, and visible conditions organized into a practical construction story.

Decision support

Plain-language questions, comparison notes, missing-scope issues, payment concerns, and next-professional recommendations before the next expensive step.

Bounded report packets

When needed, BuildAdvocate can compile construction consulting observations with documents from engineers, inspectors, labs, attorneys, public adjusters, or trades where those professionals provide their part.

BuildAdvocate advises, documents, coordinates, reviews, and supports homeowner decisions as an independent construction advisor and owner’s representative. We can work with the homeowner’s existing trades, or when the project calls for it, help bring in trusted trade partners and qualified professionals from Nathan’s years around pool building, homebuilding, remodeling, and project management. BuildAdvocate is not a traditional general contractor unless a separate written agreement says so.

Trades, contractors, engineers, inspectors, labs, attorneys, public adjusters, and other licensed professionals remain responsible for their own work, pricing, licensing, insurance, warranties, code compliance, and professional opinions. In the owner-side consulting model, trade costs can often be paid directly by the homeowner while BuildAdvocate’s consulting fee stays separate from trade invoices. We do not certify structural safety, diagnose engineering conditions from photos, determine legal fault, guarantee insurance outcomes, or replace licensed professional opinions. We help you gather the right facts and decide who needs to be involved next.
